Craft a Scene Trees Challenge - Week 3

Today is clear and c-c-c-cold in the Northwest!  I do love the fall with all its colors and weather changes. We are continuing our Trees challenge and we are seeing very beautiful entries.  It seems this challenge does inspire you all.  You can jump to Mr. Linky if you wish, but why not scroll down and check out our new inspiration.

I have some lovely email entries to share as well as our faithful DT designs.

Margaret in Yorkshire -

Margaret from Huddersfield in Yorkshire.  Haven’t been in touch for a while, I’ve either left it too late to enter the challenge , or I just haven’t had an idea for a card.

The Trees, Tress, Trees Challenge set me thinking, and looking through our stock of stamps I decided to use just one set of stamps from Claritystamp.  The name of the stamp set is Winter Trees and their Mantles and includes 4 bear trees and 4 mantles , or foliage stamps along with a border stamp.
For the card I used Adirondack inkpads in blues and greens , a brayer and torn paper to create the background.  I then stamped the border along the bottom and added the bare trees using Versafine onyx black.  I then added the Mantles using various shades of greens.  Then with Adirondack inkpad in Pesto and torn paper I grounded all the trees.  As a final touch I added some tiny bird ,also from Claritystamp, and sponged around the edges to help add dimention.

I have named the picture Woodland Glen.  Hope you like it.

And from her daughter Dawn -

I bought a Memory Box stencil the other week which fits the theme perfectly, so I've made two cards with it.  For the first, I used just one stamp - a Pheasant from Clarity Stamps; for my second, I used all Lavinia stamps (Stag, various Snowflakes, and a Fern stamp to add foliage around the edge).

Well, that's two Christmas cards finished at least!

Here is what our talented Sue has created for you today.

Now it is your turn to make a scene that includes a moon.  You may enter up to 3 times and as many other challenges as you wish. If you do not have a blog or account on Split Coast Stampers, then just email me a picture of the piece and I will add it to one of our posts.

If you are not sure what constitutes a scenic project, check out the information here.

Have fun creating!
